Conference Materials 

Join the Juvenile Law Section February 25-28, 2018, for its 31^st Annual Juvenile Law Conference to learn about and discuss trending juvenile justice issues. Keynote speakers include Dr. Rita Cameron-Wedding, a professor at Sacramento State University, who will be speaking about how implicit biases impact the decisions we make, and Michael Nerney from Long Lake, New York, who will be speaking about the adolescent brain.

Registration. Take advantage of our early-bird registration fee of $275 ($250 for Juvenile Law Section members, judges, associate judges, referee and masters) and get 16 hours of CLE (3 hours of ethics). Section membership is $25/year. This year we are offering a 3-hour Nuts and Bolts mini course on Sunday afternoon. This course includes juvenile law basics for beginners or those wanting a refresher. This is an optional add-on course only for those registered for the conference. Although there is no fee, early registration is required because space is limited. Hotel Reservations. The Horseshoe Bay Resort is offering a discounted rate of $149 for a standard room. The deadline to make reservations is February 12, 2018. Reservations made after this deadline will only be honored based on availability. The discounted room rate will be available Sunday night through Tuesday night and, based on availability, the two nights before and two nights after the conference. Make your reservations online here. Overflow Hotel. An overflow hotel has been set up at the La Quinta Inn & Suites, located at 501 Hwy 2147 West, Marble Falls, TX 78654. The hotel is offering a discounted rate of $99/night (King or Doubles). The deadline to make reservations is February 10, 2018.
